How the CCG works and its activities
In our role as a Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) we are responsible for planning and buying health services for the area of West London. This process is called ‘commissioning’. To do this we assess local health needs, create plans to prioritise and meet these needs and then pay for these services to be delivered to local people. We buy services from local hospitals, clinics and community organisations to provide these services to the population of West London.
With local GPs and our Governing Body we make decisions about health services based on the feedback we receive from patients and carers, patient experiences, and the involvement of local people on our committees and Governing Body. This ensures the services we plan and buy are those that local residents tell us they need.
This section explains more how we fit into the NHS structure and more about how we work and who we work with.
