Ensuring that patients have access to a range of high-quality services is the core function of NHS commissioning. The primary focus for us when commissioning services from providers is to only contract for services which will produce the best outcomes for patients.
We only use the NHS Standard Contract, as mandated by NHS England, for all contracts for healthcare services, we take this approach to ensure that when patients use their right of choice of provider, they are only treated by providers which can demonstrate an ability to meet the required service specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and terms and conditions.
