St Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing

Exmoor Street

W10 6DZ

On Saturday June 18 2016, from 12.30-3.30pm, NHS West London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will celebrate the official launch of the St Charles Integrated Care Centre with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s new Mayor, Councillor Elizabeth Rutherford.

About the event

The event will begin at 12.30pm, with Councillor Elizabeth Rutherford, the newly-elected Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea set to cut the ribbon, marking the official opening of the NHS St Charles Integrated Care Centre, at around 12.45pm.

The launch event is part of London Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2016, and is organised in partnership with ACAVA’s Artspace, London Creativity and Wellbeing Week, The Second Half Centre, and Open Age. There will be a mix of art, music, entertainment for kids such as tote bag-printing, smoothie-making, and face paints, and light refreshments for local people to enjoy.

Arts on show include mosaics and textile works, silk screen prints, an assemblage installation piece, a photography exhibit, and a gallery of postcards. There will be pieces by the excellent local artists Heather Martin, Ursula Kelly, Aimee Parrott and Emily Fuller, among others.

Integrated care is all about a holistic approach where we look at the patient’s whole quality of life as well as their immediate and obvious health needs, and medical professionals agree that art can play an enormous part in that.

About St Charles Integrated Care Centre

The St Charles Integrated Care Centre is a new state-of-the-art hub, located at the popular St Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing. This model of care works by bringing together health services, social care, and third sector providers in partnership, with the patient always at the heart of everything we do.

The Centre is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people over 65, with a particular focus on not only preventing and curing illness, but enriching the patient’s quality of life all round. Patients will have access to health services and social care all under one roof, and their carers and/or loved ones, where applicable, will also have the opportunity to get involved in the patient’s care, and find relevant information and support.

At the St Charles Integrated Care Centre the following services will be available under one roof:
